- Andre Fletcher
Andre Fletcher started his international cricket career without much first-class experience, but it didn’t stop him from making an impact on his debut and subsequent games. He responded admirably and showed signs of developing into one of West Indies’ most self-reliant players.
Fletcher, a right-handed top-order batsman, and wicketkeeper had an outstanding domestic season in which he got his maiden first-class century and was later selected for the limited-overs side against Australia in 2008. Fletcher’s early brilliance earned him a franchise-based contract during the inaugural season of the Caribbean Premier League; on his debut, he smashed 238 runs in 7 innings and was named the league’s highest run-scorer.
In terms of his wicket-keeping talents, he played 66 matches in the CPL, recording 11 stumpings, 31 catches, and four run-outs to place second among the top five best wicket-keepers in the competition’s history.

He’s fast and lively, and we’re thrilled to have such a promising young player representing the Guyana Amazon Warriors this season.’ Pooran has made a fantastic impact as a wicket-keeper. He came into the world as a teen prodigy in the 2008 under-19 World Cup, and he’s been a ticking time bomb of talent waiting to burst ever since. His explosive talent shone brightly in the Caribbean Premier League as well. He thrived as a batsman as well as a wicketkeeper. While he has only played 26 games, he has 17 catches and 5 stumpings, which is an excellent score when compared to players who have played a large number of games but have yet to make an impact.
