The ninth season of the Caribbean Premier League 2022 is set to begin on August 26, 2022.  Saint Kitts and Nevis will host all of the matches. The players will hope that their performances will set new marks in the CPL 2021 stats. The following are some exciting stats and trivia ahead of this year’s CPL: 

Most Fours in CPL History

Johnson In the CPL, Charles has hit 173 fours for four different organizations. Since the debut edition, he has represented Antigua Hawksbills, Barbados Royals, Jamaica Tallawahs, and Saint Lucia Kings (previously known as St Lucia Zouks). Chris Gayle, who has 172 fours, is clearly the name that almost missed the top spot on this list. Lendl Simmons (168), Chadwick Walton (160), and Dwayne Smith are the only three batsmen with more than 150 fours (158).

In the CPL, Lendl Simmons holds the record for most runs. In 82 matches, he has scored 2436 runs. Trinbago Knight Riders is his current team.

Best Individual Score in CPL

The top individual score in the CPL is Brandon King’s 132 not out of 72 balls. In his innings against the Barbados Royals, King hammered the ball all over the place, scoring at a strike rate of 183.33. His 21 boundaries (11 sixes and 10 fours) are the most in a single CPL inning.

Best Batting Average in the CPL

Colin Munro of the Trinbago Knight Riders has the greatest CPL average of 40.68. In 46 matches, he has scored 1546 runs. He has a total of 12 half-centuries and a century under his belt. Shoaib Malik, who has a batting average of 39.69, is right behind him.

Best Strike Rate in CPL

With a strike rate of 181.18, Andre Russell leads the best strike rate in CPL when it comes to strike rate. With an average of 37.4, he has 337 runs in 16 games.

Hundreds of CPL

Chris Gayle and Dwayne Smith have both scored four hundreds in the CPL, with only one other batter scoring two. Despite the fact that Smith hit the fourth tonne before Gayle, the Universe Boss has five more half-centuries than the former. While Gayle has 13 double-digit scores above 50, Smith has only eight.

Most fifties CPL

With 19 votes, Lendl Simmons tops the list of only fifties. He has yet to reach the three-figure threshold and thus has 19 CPL 50+ scores.
