Salman Khan House Shooting: Police Say The attackers Were Promised ₹ 4 Lakh Supari

Early on Sunday morning, around 4:55 am, two guys on a motorcycle shot five times outside Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai’s Bandra area, where the actor lives. Then they quickly rode away.

Mumbai: On Wednesday night, a second suspect in the Salman Khan firing case was taken into custody in Haryana. According to police reports, this person acted as a go-between for the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and the two arrested shooters, Vicky Gupta, 24, and Sagar Kumar Palak, 21.

The actor lives in Bandra, Mumbai. On Sunday at 4:55 am, two attackers on a motorcycle opened fire outside Galaxy Apartments then fled away.

One of the two suspects, Sagar Kumar Palak, was allegedly given a gun on the evening of April 13 hardly hours before the incident. The gun was allegedly obtained from the Bandra neighborhood. But according to authorities, the identity of the person delivering the weapon is still a mystery. The suspects, who are both from West Champaran in Bihar, were taken into custody late on Monday night by Mumbai Police from the grounds of a temple in the Kutch area of Gujarat.

Police sources claim that after an advance payment of ₹ 1 lakh, Palak and his accomplice Vicky Gupta were paid ₹ 4 lakh to carry out the shooting. According to Mumbai Crime Branch officers, the goal was to frighten Mr. Khan rather than kill him.

“The accused went on a’recce’ of Salman Khan’s Panvel farmhouse. Their plan was to just scare him, not to kill him. In Bihar, the statements of both families have been documented. Seven persons from Haryana and other states have been called in for continuous questioning,” a Mumbai Crime Branch official said, as cited by news agency ANI.

The Mumbai Crime Branch plans to talk to Mr. Khan to hear what he saw as a witness to the incident.

Eknath Shinde, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, met with the actor yesterday afternoon and gave him assurances of support.

Prime suspects of salman khan case and mumbai police

Eknath Shinde, speaking to reporters outside Salman Khan’s home, reassured him saying, “The government supports you. I’ve informed Salman Khan. Both suspects have been caught. They’ll be questioned thoroughly. We’ll uncover the truth of the matter. No one will escape punishment. No one should face such targeting.”

There will be no gang warfare permitted. This is not going to happen. “(Lawrence) Bishnoi will be finished,” he continued.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) claimed last year that Mr. Khan was at the top of the list of ten primary targets that incarcerated gangster Lawrence Bishnoi intended to eliminate. The gangster cited the actor’s famous 1998 black buck hunting incident, which he claimed insulted the Bishnoi community.
