Mukhtar Ansari Death: Today, Mukhtar Ansari’s body was moved from Banda to Ghazipur after doctors examined it at Banda Medical College and Hospital.
Ghazipur, UP: the body of Mukhtar Ansari, who was a gangster-turned-politician and passed away due to a heart attack, was taken to his home for the final ceremonies. The local authorities had deployed a large number of police officers for security.
Mukhtar Ansari’s elder brother, Sibgatullah Ansari, mentioned that the final rituals for Mukhtar Ansari will take place on Saturday.
Sibgatullah Ansari, Mukhtar Ansari’s elder brother, stated on Friday that the administration did not inform him about his brother’s death, and he found out through the media.
Earlier, Umar Ansari had alleged that his father was “given poison in the food” and stated that they would seek legal recourse through the judiciary.
In April 2023, Mukhtar Ansari was found guilty and given a 10-year prison term for the murder of BJP MLA Krishnanand Rai by an MP-MLA court. Additionally, on March 13, 2024, he received a life sentence in a case concerning the use of fake documents to obtain a firearms license back in 1990.
“We hope that the court will assist in investigating the suspicions we have raised. We will consult with our legal team. We strongly believe that this is not a natural death but a planned murder,” he added.
According to the official release from the hospital, Ansari was brought to the hospital around 8:25 pm on Thursday. A team of nine doctors attended to him before he died, the release added.
