Virat Kohli’s many emotional outbursts were recorded as RCB received a severe beating from SRH: “He is so done with  this team.”

Virat Kohli was observed displaying a range of emotions after SRH beat RCB to record the highest-ever IPL score.

You can very well write off Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s prospects of making the playoffs in the IPL. Yes, they are still in mathematically. Every one of them is. However, clubs have rarely rallied after dropping six of their first seven games to guarantee a spot in the top four. Particularly if the team is RCB, whose terrible luck never seems to end. They discover themselves in the midst of a terrible rut. Last night, things took a turn for the worst when Sunrisers Hyderabad smashed them for 287 runs, breaking their own record and setting a new high for the biggest total in IPL history.

Despite the team’s struggles, Virat Kohli stands out as a resilient force. Currently holding the Orange Cap with 361 runs, his recent innings of 40 runs off 22 balls at the Chinnaswamy Stadium showcased his determination. However, even as RCB faced a tough defeat against SRH, Kohli experienced the onslaught from Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, and Heinrich Klaasen, highlighting the challenges he faces amidst the team’s downturn.

Throughout the match, Kohli displayed a variety of intense emotions, from kicking the turf in frustration to vocalizing his displeasure towards his teammates. His facial expressions revealed a mix of pain, disgust, disappointment, and sorrow as he watched RCB’s bowlers struggle and the team eventually fell short, losing the game by 25 runs despite coming close.

As always, Kohli tried really hard to achieve something very difficult. Right from the beginning, he and his partner Faf du Plessis went after scoring boundaries. They did really well, scoring 79 runs in the first six overs. But even with that, they needed to score 15 runs every over to win. Kohli kept trying to score quickly. However, when he tried to hit a big shot off a leg-spinner named Mayank Markande, he didn’t hit it well and ended up getting out. He scored 42 runs from 20 balls before getting out.

Despite never winning an IPL trophy, Kohli has been the one constant presence throughout RCB’s 16-year history. He holds numerous records in the IPL, being the highest run-scorer, with the most centuries, and having the most prolific season by a batter, scoring 973 runs in 2016. However, the joy of winning an IPL title has always eluded him. Kohli has experienced the highs and lows of RCB’s journey, captaining the team for nine seasons. Despite coming close to victory thrice, reaching the final in 2009, 2011, and 2016, RCB fell short on all three occasions.

Kohli’s individual performance stands in stark contrast to RCB’s overall campaign. Despite scoring a century and two fifties, placing him at the top of the leading run-scorer list, it hasn’t translated into success for the team. The only time Kohli appeared genuinely happy this year was after RCB’s victory against Punjab Kings – their sole win of the season – during a post-match video chat with his family. However, overall, he has often appeared despondent and disheartened throughout the season.

During RCB’s match against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium, Kohli was spotted talking with MI co-owner Nita Ambani before meeting former RCB captain Rohit Sharma. Kohli, who has never played for any other IPL team and once pledged to finish his career with RCB, has always expressed loyalty to the franchise. However, in cricket, unexpected things can occur, as seen with Rohit Sharma not leading MI despite being the captain of the Indian team.
