RCB Vs LSG: Mayank Yadav Breaks Own Record with IPL’s Fastest Ball at 156.7 kmph!

Mayank Yadav Dominates as LSG Seals Victory over RCB: Yadav’s 3/14 Overshadows de Kock’s 81.
Pacer Mayank Yadav broke his own record for the fastest delivery in the IPL 2024 on Tuesday during the Lucknow Super Giants’ game against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, clocking in at 156.7 kmph.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) went down by three crucial wickets from India’s newest speed sensation, Mayank Yadav. At the famous M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, leading the pace attack of KL Rahul’s Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), speedster Yadav gave RCB star Glenn Maxwell a duck to quiet the Bengaluru crowd.

On the first ball of the seventh over, the second over of Mayank Yadav’s spell, the RCB inning, he set this record. Additionally, this ball was the fourth fastest in IPL history. With a stunning 155.8 kmph hit in LSG’s victory over Punjab Kings in his debut match, he shattered his own record.

Yadav’s rapid pace worried the RCB batters, and he ended with impressive figures of 3 for 14 in his four overs.
Yadav’s pace destroyed RCB, who lost the match by 28 runs after failing to chase 182. On his fourth ball after coming into the attack in the final powerplay, Mayank removed Glenn Maxwell from the game. Trying to pull the youthful pacemaker, Maxwell was outpaced by the speed and could only manage to sky the ball, which Nicholas Pooran eventually grabbed. For a two-ball duck, the Australian player was sent back.
In the eighth over, Yadav then removed Cameron Green’s stump, forcing the Australian to return for 9 runs in 9 balls. After that, he came back to dismiss Rajat Patidar, who had a good base, for 29 off 21 balls.

Mayank Yadav Bowling

In the away match between LSG and RCB, Mayank broke his own record by scoring 156.7 in the RCB innings. Yadav bowled the quickest delivery in the IPL’s 2024 edition, according to the IPL. On the list of the quickest bowlers at the IPL 2024, the LSG pacer is followed by Nandre Burger (153), Gerald Coetzee (152.3), Alzarri Joseph (151.2), and Matheesha Pathirana (150.9).

Even though the Super Giants got off to a quick start—scoring 54 runs without losing and wickets in the Power Play overs—a large portion of their momentum was derived from De Kock’s bat. After struggling at first, captain KL Rahul was able to give his innings some momentum with some well-placed smashes, but he was soon dismissed by Glenn Maxwell delivery. Before Siraj fired Devdutt Padikkal, he also had a difficult time.

Marcus Stoinis proved to be a reliable partner for De Kock when Padikkal left, as both of them combined for an important 56 runs. But Stoinis’s firing at an important moment put an end to their success, and the Super Giants now wish for a higher total.
Although Nicholas Pooran’s late attack, which included several sixes, produced some late fireworks, it was clear that the Super Giants would have wanted to defend a bigger score.

After losing the toss, KL Rahul’s team chose to bat first and scored 181/5. Quinton de Kock scored 81 runs off 56 balls, while Nicholas Pooran’s explosive 21-ball 40 not out was the last burst of excitement.
Maxwell took two wickets for 23 runs for RCB.

In response, a quick Mayank Yadav halted the home team’s chase, and once the speedster entered the assault, RCB never appeared to be close to the goal. The match ended when RCB folded for 153, a 28-run loss.
