JioCinema Introduces an Ad-Free Premium Plan at Just ₹29 per Month

For ₹29 per month, JioCinema Premium will offer ad-free viewing of original series, films, kids’ programs, and TV entertainment on any device, including connected TV sets. Additionally, the company will sell a family package for ₹89 per month that enables users to stream content to up to four devices at once.

In an effort to increase revenue, streaming platforms have recently implemented hybrid models that are fueled by both advertising and subscriptions. JioCinema launched a ₹999 yearly option last year that included sports and local language programs with ads in addition to ad-free Hollywood content.

JioCinema Premium offers access to exclusive foreign content dubbed in regional languages, but JioCinema still provides free content, including live sports like the Indian Premier League. This means that JioCinema Premium members will have exclusive access to international content in local languages, wholesome family entertainment with parental control features providing a safe space for content consumption, while ports content, including the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) and thousands of hours of entertainment content, will continue to be available for free as part of its ad-supported offering.
