Day 3 box office receipts for Bastar The Naxal Story: First weekend earnings of ₹2 crore put the movie behind The Kerala Story.

Day three box office collection for Bastar The Naxal Story: On Sunday, the movie brought in less than ₹1 crore. It was directed by Sudipto Sen, who oversaw The Kerala Story.

Day three box office collection for Bastar The Naxal Story: Even with its greatest-yet earnings on Sunday, the movie is still well behind The Kerala Story (2023). Since its premiere, the movie has brought in just over ₹2 crore net in India. Bastar: The Naxal Story, which is helmed by Sudipto Sen and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, has Adah Sharma in the lead role. The Kerala Story was the trio’s most recent project.

Bastar: The Naxal Story, Adah Sharma’s second collaboration with Sudipto Sen, was released on March 15. Due to its scheduling conflict with Sidharth Malhotra’s Yodha, the movie had a sluggish opening weekend, earning just Rs 50 lakhs at the box office. Nevertheless, the Vipul Amrutlal Shah-produced movie saw a little increase on Saturday, the second day of its run, bringing the total collected to Rs 1.15 crores.

Vipul Amrutlal Shah, Sudipto Sen, and Adah Sharma teamed together again on a movie over a year after The Kerala Story. The movie, titled Bastar – The Naxal Story, is said to be based on actual Naxal episodes that occurred in Chhattisgarh.

Mixed performances
Not because Adah Sharma plays a weak character in the movie, but rather because it seems like she wasn’t well-trained for the part, her performance feels a little out of place. She runs and shoots without the dexterity one would expect from a seasoned cop.

However, as the mother and son, who stand in for the enduring victims, Indira Tiwari and Naman Jain give powerful performances. But because of how brief their appearances are, viewers are left wanting more in-depth character development. This mistake strips the movie of a more sympathetic and relatable element, reducing these characters to being more like props for a theme than fully formed people.
