List of the Teen Patti variations

There are many different variations in 3 Patti, and if you want to know about them then read below as we have covered all the important Teen Patti variations.

Teen Patti is a kind of casino game, often known as 3 Patti games, which are particularly sociable games with ties to Hindu holidays like Diwali. Additionally, there are several versions of the game that may be found and enjoyed. Although Teen Patti takes on many different shapes, most of them adhere to the same pattern. The game is played with a standard 52-card deck, sans jokers, and allows for several players.

Typically, players are handed three cards, and the objective is to create the best hand possible. You aim to make three-of-a-kind, flushes, sequences, colors, pairings, or high cards, and aces are high and twos are low. A card that can replace another card is referred to as a “joker” in situations when it is employed. If the Kings are jokers, for instance, and you possess K-Q-Q, you can form the hand Q-Q-Q. Learn about the best Teen Patti variations below.

Teen Patti variations

Let’s take a look at the Teen Patti game variations. You will also find the latest 3 Patti variations. So read below without wasting any more time.

Muflis in 3 Patti

Lowball, commonly referred to be 3 Patti muflis, functions just like standard Teen Patti. The order of the hands is reversed, which is the sole change. When two players review their cards and have the same hand (high card), the person with the lowest card wins. If both players have the same hand, the person with the lowest card wins. So, be aware of the muflis 3 Patti rules.

In the classic game of Teen Patti, player A would win if they had the three cards A-A-A while player B had the high card, which was the three through eight. However, player B is the victor in Mufliss.

999 variation in 3 Patti

This is one of the most common variations in 3 Patti, the goal is to come as near to the number 9-9-9 as you can. The winner of the game is the one who gets closest to 9-9-9. Each face card has a numerical value, regardless of the card’s suit.

All face cards’ numbers are as follows:

  • Any suit, K, Q, J, and 10 add up to zero.
  • 9 Equals 9 (of any suit).
  • 8 (in any suit) equals 8.
  • 7 Equals 7 (of any suit).
  • 6 Equals 6 (of any suit).
  • 4 + 5 (of any suit)
  • 4 Equals 4 (of any suit).
  • 3 Equals 3 (of any suit).
  • Any two cards equal two.
  • A Equals 1 in any suit.

The number 761 would be the number you receive if your number was 7-6-A. The number 940 would be the number you receive if you received 9-K-4. It’s important to remember that you are free to rearrange your cards. This makes approaching 999 simpler if you receive 9-K-4, which is 904, and rearrange your cards to get 940.

ak 47 variation in 3 Patti

The 3 patti ak47 rules are important to understand. This is one of the best 3 patti variations games. In this variation, joker cards are the Ace, King, 4, and 7. If a player has one of these cards, they may use it to fill in for a missing number or suit. As with the standard Teen Patti, the remaining guidelines are straightforward. This is one of the best Teen Patti variations.

The AK47 card game turns all Aces, Kings, Fours, and Sevens into wild cards and is named after the storied Russian gun. The other 3 patti ak47 rules are the same. With the exception of the fact that you have a lot of Jokers this time around and will be able to quickly complete a hand, the player with the strongest 3 Patti hand wins the game. ak 47 variation in 3 patti is yet another entertaining variant of the game, and is one of the most distinctive ways to play Teen Patti. A handful of jokers in the game will undoubtedly draw in new Indian gamers.

Discard One

Instead of dealing with three cards, the dealer deals with four cards in this variation. The player will then need to select the top three cards from their hand and throw away the fourth. All players must play chaal because everyone has seen their cards.

Plus Sign

This was one of the latest 3 Patti variations. In this variant, each player receives three cards, and five cards are used to form a plus sign on the table. Since the five cards are jokers, any value may be assigned to them.

There are five jokers stacked in either horizontal or vertical rows in the symbol, but players must choose them from either set. It is the dealer’s decision whether jokers can be selected from the horizontal or vertical set of the plus sign before cards are dealt. The round resumes when the cards are dealt. You can benefit from the joker cards when there is a performance.

Suppose you have the pair A-A-3. The joker card is picked from the vertical set of the plus sign, and there is a 3 on the vertical set. Your three turns into a joker card with any value. So, you may classify your three as an A. The best hand you can have at that point is an A-A-A (trio).

Rotating Jokers

Each player receives three cards. The winner of the hand receives the open card, while the loser receives the closed card. Each player’s joker card is an open card (this card can have any value).

When a player folds, all other players can use that person’s open card as a joker. When it occurs, you are unable to play your own joker card. Once more, the open card of the player who folds after you becomes the new joker.

Consider that you possess the closed cards spade A, spade K, and heart 3. (open card). The opening hand of the first player is a spade Q. Your current sequence is pure (A-K-Q in spades). This is one of the best variations in 3 Patti.

High-Low Split

The player with the highest hand and the player with the lowest hand split the pot in this variation of Teen Patti. There are two types of High-Low Split: “statement” and “cards speak.” If you want to compete for the high hand or low hand during “declaration,” you must state (either orally or with chips) your intentions.

The pot is divided in half when there is a performance. The player with the highest hand after comparing all of the high hands wins that portion of the pot. The lowest hand wins the half-pot when all low hands compare their hands. You don’t proclaim while speaking “cards talk.” The pot is shared between the highest hand and the lowest hand after all players have had a chance to compare their cards.

First, there must be three rounds of betting in which no player may fold. After these rounds, participants may fold. Before a show, all players must agree on a round cap. There are often 6 to 10 rounds of betting. There is a required showdown following the predetermined number of rounds. In this variant, there might be more participants in a show than in standard Teen Patti, which allows just two players in each show. High-Low Split prohibits side-shows. This is one of the best Teen Patti variations.

Auction

Three cards are handed to each participant. Additionally, the dealer deals out two stacks of three cards each. One open card and two closed cards make up each pile. All participants use the open cards from the two distinct rounds as jokers.

Then an auction is held for the two heaps on the table. Before the game begins, each player takes a turn placing a bid for one of the piles. Any player may opt not to bid if they hold a stronger hand. The new batch of cards will be exchanged for the old ones by the highest bidder. Then, the players’ old cards are thrown away. The primary pot is replenished with the funds that were offered for bid.

The round resumes as normal when both card piles have been sold. The two open cards are used by all players as joker cards, which is the sole distinction. Suppose the two open cards were 2 and 3, for instance. Any player who currently holds a 2 or 3 can switch out that card for any other card. A person who purchased a fresh deck of cards has the option of playing chaal or blind. He cannot see his two closed cards during the round if he opts to play blind.

Pack Jack

Three cards are handed to each player in Pack Jack along with three joker cards (wild cards) that are laid down face-up on the board. Every time someone folds (packs) in the game, his cards change to a new set of three jokers. The old joker cards are removed from the table and replaced with fresh ones. Once more, the new player’s cards replace the old joker cards as he packs. This is one of the best variations in 3 Patti.

Buying Jokers Seen and Unseen

Following that, each player is dealt three cards, and there are two rounds of buying jokers. At the beginning of the first round, each player spends a fixed amount to purchase a joker. By placing these cards open in front of the player, any of these cards can be chosen by him to be the joker.

A player can purchase a joker card from another player during the second round by paying them a certain sum. The number of players who can purchase joker cards is unlimited. The player will also be required to contribute the same amount to the pot, which means he must make two payments. After the second round, the players share the jokers with another player who will pay for them in the third round. The game repeats itself after that.

Temperature

Variations such as this are descendants of in-out variations. After all players receive their three cards, the jokers will be placed face-up on the table. Once the cards are dealt, players indicate their position by raising their thumbs or lowering their thumbs, respectively.

A “temperature” card is selected and placed face up on the table after players have decided whether to stay in or leave. Moreover, other rules are the same as those of the in-out game, such as winning the hand with the lowest temperature, which ranges from A to 6. In addition, winning is decided by the hand with the highest value, which ranges from 7 to K on the temperature card. You can try and experiment with this Teen Patti variation.

King Little

In this variation, each and every King is a joker. The smallest card among the three-handed to each player becomes the joker. Assume, for instance, that you are dealt the K-Q-4 in several suits. Your K and 4 are joker cards, so they can be worth anything. After that, by switching your K and 4 to Qs, you may form a trio (Q-Q-Q). This is one of the best Teen Patti variations

Lallan Kallan

The dealer deals three cards to you. It is your joker card that has the oddest shade out of the three you have. For example, if you have two red cards and one black card, the black card will be your joker. All three cards, however, must be the same color for you to be eliminated. This is a very popular Teen Patti variation.

Stud

The Stud Teen Patti variation involves the exchange of a face-up (open) card and two face-down (closed) cards. The street cards are called street cards, and the hole cards are called hole cards. The regulations are the same except for this.

Kiss-Miss-Bliss

A joker must be created by combining two other cards that each player receives from the dealer. Pick two cards of your choice. You can make one of three types of jokers: Kiss, Miss, or Bliss. Bliss refers to a pair of identical numbers. If two successive numbers are present in a pair, it is called a Kiss; if one is absent, it is called a Miss.

For instance, if you receive 8-8 or 3-3, it’s a bliss; if you get A-2 or 9-10, it’s a kiss; and if you get A-3 or 6-8, it’s a miss. Each round only allows you to generate one joker card. The game must go on with the discard of one of the remaining cards. You will then only have three cards. A joker card is made up of two ordinary cards and two other cards. You must throw away two cards if you can’t make a joker card.

Kissing Missing

Kiss-Miss-Bliss and kissing miss are identical. Each player is handed four cards, and they each choose two of those cards to make a joker. Then, each participant will be dealt two regular cards and one joker card (which can have any value and suit).

You may create either kissing jokers or missing jokers. You need a pair to make a kissing (any numbers). Furthermore, you require two alternative numbers in order to construct a Missing (e.g. 6 and 8). You must discard one card to leave yourself with three standard cards if you are unable to make a joker. After then, the game goes on as usual with everyone now playing Chaal. This is one of the best Teen Patti variations

One-Eyed Jack

The Jack of Hearts and the Jack of Spades are referred to as one-eyed jacks and turn into jokers in the latest 3 Patti variations. The Jack of Clubs and the Jack of Diamonds are regular playing cards that don’t have one eye.

Folding Joker

The dealer deals four cards to each participant, one of which is kept hidden and apart. When making a hand, the distinct cards cannot be used. One of the three cards is chosen, revealed to all players, and becomes their joker card. Any time a player folds, his hidden card is added to the deck as another joker card. Every joker card from the past is still in play.

Sudden Death

Sudden Death is also one of the common variations in 3 Patti. A deck of cards (52 cards) is shuffled and dealt evenly to each player by the dealer. If there are four players, for instance, each will receive 13 cards. Players drop cards until an opponent says stop while holding their pack of cards between their ring and thumb.

One by one, every player releases their hand of cards. When the first player says “stop,” you stop dumping cards and the other players can do the same. Pick the card with the greatest value out of the cards you still have in your hand. The winner is determined by comparing the highest card among all participants.

In-Out

Each participant must deposit a predetermined Ante wager to begin the game. The primary pot receives the wager. After that, each player receives three cards, and three joker cards are left open on the table.

Each player decides whether they are “in” or “out” on a turn-basis. “In” indicates that the participant wants to continue the game. ‘Out’ denotes a player’s desire to fold. A player must place an extra wager in order to be “In.” He can wager 1-2 times the Ante stake if he plays blind. He can wager 2-4 times the Ante stake if he plays Chaal.

When a player is eliminated, his cards transform into fresh jokers to replace the old ones. In the center of the table, the fresh joker cards are left exposed. The person with the better hand wins if more than one player is “in.” When more than one player is “in,” their cards are compared. The entire sum in the pot is then collected by him. The same sum is put into the pot by the losers. For instance, all losers must contribute Rs. 1000 apiece to the pot if the winner takes home Rs. 1000. The next round then starts.

Up until there is no more money on the table, the game continues. A player can only play against the bank if there is just one other player who is “In.” When there is only one player in, the player will take on the bank as follows:

The cards of the ‘In’ player are compared with the cards of the dealer after the remaining cards are shuffled. The player who went “In” wins all of the pot if he holds a superior hand. The next round begins if he loses, and the money remains on the table. In this variation, every player will have the opportunity to serve as the dealer, who will alternate as normal. This is one of the best variations in 3 Patti.

Closest to 555

Three cards are handed to each participant in this version. Every player has the option of trading one of their cards for one from the pack. Only one card may be exchanged every round and during the first two rounds, a player may trade cards. Each card has a certain value, and the player who comes the closest to 5-5-5 wins. The best hand may be less than 555 or more than 555. The values of the cards are as follows:

  • Any suit’s A, K, Q, and J equal zero.
  • 9 Equals 9 (of any suit).
  • 8 (in any suit) equals 8.
  • 7 Equals 7 (of any suit).
  • 6 Equals 6 (of any suit).
  • 5 (in any suit) equals 5.
  • 4 Equals 4 (of any suit).
  • 3 Equals 3 (of any suit).
  • Any two cards equal two.

3-2-1

Six cards are handed to each participant in this additional variation. The cards must be dealt into three unique hands for each participant. Three cards will be dealt in the first hand, two cards in the second, and one card in the third. Your deck of cards can be set up the way you desire.

Following the agreement, the game continues with a wager on the first hand (with three cards). The following round begins with the second hand once a winner has been determined (two cards). You use your third hand to play in the final round (one card). You must prevail in two or more rounds of the game to win. All of the money that has accrued over all rounds is yours once you have won at least two of the rounds.

The pot remains intact and the game is restarted if no player wins in two or more rounds. According to the standard ranking of hands, in order to win with the first hand, you must have a better hand than every other player. You must have a better hand than everyone else’s to win the second (two-card) round. Only partnerships and high card hands count because you only have two cards. If your card is higher than everyone else’s in the final hand, you win.

2 Cards Open

Each player receives two face-up cards and one face-down card. After dealing, the game proceeds as usual. Based on what the third card could reveal, players will choose their wager and next steps. No one can choose to play blind or Chaal in this variation. Each player must use two face-up cards and one face-down card when playing. This is one of the best Teen Patti variations.

Wild Draw

Each player receives three cards when playing Wild Draw from the dealer. He then selects a card at random from the deck and sets it face-up on the table. All participants see the chosen card as a joker card.

Teen Patti Sequence

Cobra

Each participant in Cobra, also known as Maatha, receives just one card. Each participant contributes a predetermined sum to the pot. They all choose a card and place it on their foreheads without showing their cards to one another. The players can see the cards of the other players but not their own cards.

The game is won by the person who has the highest card. This is one of the Teen Patti variations where no player has the opportunity to fold.

Draw

In Draw, each participant contributes a predetermined sum to the pot. After that, the dealer hands each player three cards. You have the option to chuck out a card and ask for a replacement as a player. If you are playing blind or Chaal, you can ask for a fresh card. You need to deposit a certain sum into the pot in order to change a card. Each round only allows you to swap three cards.

Community

There are two variations of this variant: the 3-card community and the 5-card community. Players receive one face-up card and two face-down cards while playing in the 3-card community. The community card is the card that is facing up.

Two face-down and three face-up community cards are handed to each player in the 5-card variation. The players must choose one of the face-down cards and pair it with two face-up cards to form a full hand.

Three community cards will also be placed face-up on the table by the dealer. Any of your cards may be swapped out for one of the communal cards on the table when making a hand. No player is permitted to play blind or chaal in this variation of the game, which was influenced by Texas hold’em poker. This variation is also great in our list of Teen Patti variation.

Odd Sequence

Every rule in Odd Sequence is the same as in regular Teen Patti. The only distinction is how a series is created. In conventional Teen Patti, you use consecutive cards, such J-Q-K, to create sequences. However, in odd sequence, you need different cards in order to construct a series, like 9-J-K.

Pairs Are Jokers

Each player in this game receives seven cards. A player must utilize all of the pairs in their hand as jokers. To play, each player has to have at least one pair. You must fold if you don’t have a pair. You create a hand when there is a show using your three best cards. This is one of the best Teen Patti variations.

Joker Hunt

Each player receives three cards from the dealer, who also distributes some cards to the table. These cards will thus be displayed face-up. The dealer must reveal twice as many cards as there are players plus three. The dealer will deal 4 x 2 + 3 = 11 cards, for instance, if there are only 4 players.

Players will pick one open card from the deck and discard one from their hand in each of the next two rounds of the game. While a player has the option to not pick a card, they will still need to close one of the open cards. The closed-open card will be eliminated following the first two rounds. The game proceeds as normal with three open cards remaining as jokers.

Banko

Each player in Banko plays alone, and each player’s turn in the game is played one after the other. When it’s your turn to play, you have to put a predetermined sum into the pot initially. The dealer then deals two cards to you, face up. You have to wager on whether or not the following card will fall within those ranges.

If you are correct, you put the money in the pot and continue playing. If you’re mistaken, you’re out. Up until there is just one person remaining, the game goes on. The pot is entirely won by the last player.

That is all you need to know about the Teen Patti variations. You can use these variations in 3 Patti and see which one is best for you.
