Gujarat Titans leg-spinner Rashid Khan has stated that captain Hardik Panyda maintains an amazing environment amongst the team after they registered their fourth victory in IPL 2022. GT won against Rajasthan Royals by 37 runs in their last game and Rashid Khan was economical conceding only 24 runs.
IPL 2022 is turning out to be a very decent campaign for Gujarat Titans as they have won four games out of the five they played so far and are at the top of the points table. The franchise is led by Hardik Pandya in their debut season and many have praised him for his leadership skills. In their last game, GT secured a 37-run victory against Rajasthan Royals.
Batting first, they posted a total of 192/4 courtesy of unbeaten 87 runs from 52 balls by Pandya, and David Miller also played a clinical knock of unbeaten 31 from 14 balls. The team defended the target easily as they restricted opponents on 155/9. Lockie Ferguson and Yash Dayal picked three wickets each. Rashid Khan, who conceded only 24 runs in the game , praised captain Hardik Pandya saying he keeps an amazing environment in the team.
“The way he (Hardik) has led the team, the way he has kept the team environment, inside and outside the field has been amazing so far,” Rashid said at the virtual post-match press conference.
Hardik’s decision-making has also been good in the tournament so far. In the last game too, Yash Dayal conceded a lot of runs in his first couple of overs. However, Pandya still backed him and he bowled his full quota of four overs. Rashid said that Pandya takes brave and right decisions.
“He (Hardik) is someone who always takes that brave decision, always has confidence and he is someone who is very clear in mind on what he is going to do,” he stated.
“This is an important thing as a captain when your mind is clear, and you take right decisions, the result will take (care) by itself.”
“You take right decisions with confidence, that is something which makes him the best and he has been delivering the best so far and leading from the front – (be it) batting, bowling and fielding.”
