Pawan Sehrawat looked at his usual best at the beginning of the game but Patna certainly had a plan to stop the table toppers.

Interestingly, Patna’s coach Ram Mehar Singh opted to start Guman Singh instead of the experienced Monu Goyat. They unleashed a two-headed raiding attack with Sachin and Guman who picked easy points. Pirates clinched their first ALL OUT in the 9th minute to open a 2-point lead.

Pawan got his Super 10 but Bengaluru could only make three successful tackles as the first half ended 20-16 in favour of Patna.

Pirates didn’t lose the momentum in the second half as the flawless defense helped Patna clinch another ALL OUT in the 7th minute after the restart.

Patna’s defence was marshaled by Sunil in the right corner as Patna opened an 11-point lead with 10 minutes remaining in the match. The high-risk high reward defending helped Patna sustain the lead and win the match by a seven-point lead.
