Star raider Monu Goyat produced a brilliant display of Kabaddi as he pulled off a 7-point raid in the match. Patna Pirates started off well as they picked up raid points via Sachin & Prashanth Kumar Rai but were soon found wanting more against Bengal Warriors’ Maninder Singh.

The star raider Maninder performed one of his best displays as he left Patna Pirates clueless on all corners of the mat. The Jaipur raider picked up points at will and overwhelmed all defensive tactics to return to his half swiftly with every raid.

Patna’s defensive tactics also looked alright for the first few minutes as Bengal Warriors struggled to keep up with the game. Maninder helped the Jaipur Pink Panthers to assert a lead of 11-9 when he sent Monu Goyat and Mohammadreza Chiyaneh with 1 raid. In his next raid, he sent off Prashanth Kumar to the bench and Bengal Warriors extended their lead to 4 points.

Patna Pirates seemed clueless thereafter and all the players were on the mat as Bengal Warriors were leading by 16-10. Maninder registered his SUper 10 as he escaped from Chiyaneh’s tackle and the defending champions came to the driving seat by taking an eight-point lead.

Sachin & Monu Goyat tried their best to bring Patna Pirates back into the game as they slowly reduced the score difference with bonus points & running hand touches. However, Bengal were still in the lead at half-time with 21-16. Then, Bengal Warriors upped their defence game after halftime as Amit

successfully tackled Sachin.

Patna Pirates started making their way back in the game gradually, reducing the difference to three points courtesy of Neeraj Kumar and Monu Goyat, who scored his 500th career raid point.

Neeraj came up with good defence tactics as he tackled Rishank Devadiga. Monu was also good in his raid by going deep & scoring bonus points.

Maninder experienced a moment of failure when he stepped out of the mat and gave Patna Pirates an opening. Patna tried to capitalize on this to the fullest. From thereon, it was a Patna Pirates controlled game as they levelled the scores at 25-25.

Patna Pirates soon asserted a four-point lead when Sachin sent off two Bengal defenders and inflicted an all-out. Maninder also looked off-colour as he submitted to Chiyaneh’s defensive tactics as Bengal looked all at sea.

Monu Goyat then executed a seven-point raid as Patna Pirates extender their lead to a 14-point lead at 39-25. Meanwhile, Monu also registered a Super 10 in the match. The lead kept increasing with each raid as Patna Pirates stamped their authority on the game as Bengal Warriors came out of the match with no points.
