Patna Pirates vs UP Yoddha (35-36)

Pardeep Narwal registered his first Super 10 of the season, and first Super 10 against his former team Patna Pirates, and a last raid debacle, helped UP Yodhha register a 1 point victory over their traditional rivals Patna Pirates.

Pardeep Narwal got off to a hot start, scoring six of U.P. Yoddha’s first seven points. However, Monu Goyat, Prashanth Kumar Rai and Sachin combined to match him point-for-point to keep their team’s deficit down to one. 

The Pirates’ defence Super Tackled Pardeep thrice and Surender once to keep the All Out at bay and pile points on the board. Sachin was a massive contributor in this run, picking up a couple of raid and tackle points.

Patna Pirates were the aggressors post the All Out as they tried to mount a comeback, but U.P. matched them point-for-point to maintain their slender advantage. But a brilliant raid from Prashanth Kumar Rai and an assured tackle from the defence left Patna trailing by just one point with one Do-or-die raid from U.P. Yoddha all that remained.

Surender smartly picked a bonus without attempting a retreat to his team’s half to give both teams a point each but U.P. Yoddha the win.

Puneri Paltan vs Telegu Titans (34-33)

Mohit Goyat and Aslam Inamdar lead Puneri Paltan to a thrilling win over Telugu Titans. Puneri Paltan made a comeback in the last couple of minutes and secured a 34-33 victory over Telegu Titans. Telegu’s Bahubali Siddharth Desai scored 15 points and Mohit Goyat who wasn’t a part of starting 7, finished with 9 points for Puneri Paltan.

Puneri Paltans defence couldn’t face the Telegu Titans raiding for long and Desai inflicted an All Out to put Titans in the lead. In the last minutes of the match, the Titans adopted a defensive style of play. Puneri Paltan on the other hand kept attacking and was able to level the score with a minute left.

Inamad picked up a bonus point in the second last raid of the match, in a do-or-die situation and put Paltan in the lead. Rakesh Gowda from the Titans came in and hoped to level the match by scoring a bonus in the last raid of the match. However, it was reviewed and it was found that his feet placement didn’t qualify for a bonus. Puneri Paltan hence emerged victorious in the match.

Jaipur Pink Panthers vs Haryana Steelers (40-38)

Haryana Steelers went down fighting against Jaipur Pink Panthers, suffering a 2 point defeat (40-38). Haryana’s captain Vikash Kandola was their best player with 14 raid points in the match. 

Both the sides seemed equal in till the first four minutes of the second half, as Haryana Steelers and Jaipur Pink Panthers were tied at 26-26. The Panthers inflicted an All-Out in the 30th minute and took their lead to 33-27. Haryana Steelers tried to make a comeback with a tremendous tackle & a couple of raids. However, that didn’t stop Jaipur from marching on.

Rohit Gulia from Haryana Steelers pulled off a Super Raid in the closing minutes of the match and reduced Jaipur Pink Panthers’ lead, but Jaipur kept their nerves and closed the match at a scoreline of 40-38.
