Bengaluru and Hyderabad play out a draw as both teams fail to break the deadlock at the end of 90 minutes.

Hyderabad was the better team and will be unhappy with just the one point. After being held 2-2 by FC Goa in their opening game, Bengaluru hoped to register their first win in the 2020-21 ISL campaign against the resilient Hyderabad.

Hyderabad who kicked off their campaign with an impressive 1-0 win over Odisha FC, tormented the blues at regular intervals but weren’t clinical enough in the end.

Hyderabad currently stands 3rd on the ISL table while Bengaluru is three positions below them.

Bengaluru was on defense mostly even in the second half after Hyderabad lost two key foreigners in Joel Chianese and Lluis Sastre to injuries in the first half. Bengaluru had only one shot on goal, that too off target. Liston Colaco, who caught everyone’s eye in Hyderabad’s previous game, came off late in the 83rd minute and it proved to be too less a time for him to make a difference. Although it’s a point apiece, when you look at the stats Hyderabad was clearly the better side as they created more chances and attempted more shots. Hyderabad was quite fluid with the passes and had more ball possession. Carles Cuadrat seemed unhappy with the officials as he had a go at home as soon as the full-time whistle was blown. As former champions, Bengaluru will not be happy with the one point but they should be given Hyderabad could have walked away with three points today.
