A 20-year-old Andhra Pradesh medical student tragically perished in Kyrgyzstan after becoming stuck in a frozen waterfall, in a heartbreaking turn of events. When the sad tragedy happened, Dasari Chandu, a second-year medical student in Kyrgyzstan, and four other students from Andhra Pradesh were out enjoying the natural beauty of the area.
Born in Anakapalle, Visakhapatnam, Dasari had come to Kyrgyzstan to pursue his studies with the hope of becoming a successful doctor. However, on their excursion, he got entangled in the waterfall’s ice, unexpectedly ending his dreams.
The community and Dasari’s family are in deep mourning following the unexpected news of his passing. Coming from a low-income family, Dasari’s father, who owns a candy store, was devastated to hear the terrible news.
Dasari’s family contacted Union Minister G Kishan Reddy for help in repatriating their son’s remains after the incident. In response to the family’s request, Minister Reddy moved quickly to expedite the process of returning Dasari’s body to India by coordinating with the Kyrgyzstani authorities.
