In this article, we will discuss the top ten highest individual CPL scores, as a result of individual brilliance. It’s been eight years, and the tournament is still going strong. The following list is in ascending order:

Chris Gayle 111*
Dwayne Smith110*
Chris Gayle 108*
Marlon Samuels 106*

  1. Brandon King (132*)

Brandon King is currently one of the most talented young cricketers in the West Indies. His timing, as well as his ability to reach boundaries with ease, are exceptional. The right-handed batter from the Guyana Amazon Warriors currently holds the CPL Individual Scores record.

When the Guyana Amazon Warriors took on the Barbados Tridents in the first qualifier of 2019, everything went smoothly. He hammered 132 runs off 72 balls to enable Amazon Warriors set a target of 218 runs after 20 overs. Tridents did their hardest, but they couldn’t stop the chase. Brandon King’s inning featured ten fours and eleven sixes, demonstrating that it was a boundary-filled inning of perseverance. King’s innings helped the Warriors reach the finals by injuring every bowler he faced.

  1. Andre Russell (121*)

Andre Russell’s devastating ability does not require any explanation. When it comes to late-inning hitting and boundary clearing, he is the best. Andre has a lot of magic in the CPL when it comes to Individual Scores, and this is one of those times.

When the two teams met, Andre took Trinidad & Tobago to task. T & T were the first to bat, scoring 223 runs for the lost of six wickets. Russell took a well-deserved hat trick with the ball in the first innings. But it was the batsmanship in the second innings that sealed the victory.

Andre finished the match with 121 runs after entering the fray at 41 for the loss of five wickets. His innings included 13 sixes, demonstrating his batsmanship. Sunil Narine was one of the victims, having taken the ball to the cleaners.

  1. Chris Gayle (116)

To all those wondering where Chris Gayle is, he is on this list most of the time simply because of the man he is. In the CPL Individual Scores, he is the third name on the list of the Universe Boss, having hammered 116 runs with the bat against the great Patriots.

What’s more intriguing is that the Tallawahs lost that game thanks to Evin Lewis’ talent. Chris Gayle, who batted first in the run-fest, was off and running right away. He scored 116 runs off 62 deliveries, including 10 sixes.

His efforts were responsible for the team’s total of 241 runs. The Patriots were optimistic right away when they came out to chase. Evin Lewis and Devon Thomas smashed the bowling for a good time in the opener. The Patriots won the game with seven balls to spare in the end.

  1. Chris Gayle (111*)

Nobody should be surprised to see Chris Gayle make another strong showing on this list. He is the best player in T20 cricket, and few would argue with that. He has once again set the record for the highest individual score of 111. When Zouks faced Tallawahs in 2014, everyone expected a close contest. But, much to everyone’s surprise, Chris Gayle single-handedly stole the show. He then proceeded to chase the modest total like it was nothing. Gayle’s team was set a goal of 162 by Zouks, who batted first. Gayle came out firing in the first game, scoring 111 runs. He hit 10 sixes and five fours down the line in his innings. Tallawahs chased down the total with just an over to spare.

  1. Dwayne Smith (110*)

When it came to international cricket, Dwayne Smith was one of the best all-rounders. Slowly, the man’s allure was limited to T20 cricket, and it was fascinating that he had spent so much time in the format. Smith also has one of the greatest individual CPL scores.

Barbados Tridents faced St Lucia Zouks in 2014, and Smith came into his own. When Zouks batted first, he was ripped apart by a single player who hit a century on his own. Smith smacked 110 runs, including eight sixes and seven fours.

Zouks remained in the hunt for the 187-run objective until the mid-innings, but lost the plot, resulting in a loss for the squad. No one scored runs except Keddy Lesporis and Sohail Tanvir, and Zouks’ season was coming to an end as the Tridents took the lead.

  1. Chris Gayle (108*)

Chris Gayle is a brand that understands how to score huge runs against great teams, and what better team in the IPL than the Trinbago Knight Riders, who were blown away by a Gayle masterclass in this encounter.

Trinidad achieved 191 runs in their first innings, which is considered a respectable score. Hashim Amla and Colin Munro each contributed a half-century to the team’s massive total. When Gayle arrived at the crease, he immediately began hammering the bowler. From 54 balls, the southpaw hit 108* runs, including 11 sixes and six fours. Gayle has more sixes than fours, which is unsurprising. The Tallawahs team went on to chase the target in 18.2 overs, causing an upset, thanks to his hitting.

  1. Marlon Samuels (106*)

Who knows better than West Indian cricket fans that Marlon Samuels is the guy of finals and semifinals. In both finals, Samuels’ innings made the difference between the two teams. He was also quite effective in the CPL.

Hawksbill’s match against Amazon Warriors in 2014 was a must-see for the spectators. Guyana took the field first and scored 212 runs for the loss of five wickets. They had the total after Guptill’s stunning 90 and Ramdin’s half-century. Hawksbill had a slow start chasing the target until Samuels smacked everyone out of the park. From 52 balls, the right-handed batter scored 106* runs, including ten fours and eight sixes. What’s even more disappointing is that his team lost the match despite his century.

  1. Chris Gayle (105)

When it comes to hitting in T20 cricket, Chris Gayle is the king. Every franchise-based competition he enters demonstrates his charisma and expertise. His 105 runs are also among the highest individual scores in CPL history.

The game between the Jamaica Tallawahs and Red Steel in 2015 was one of class and poise. When Chris Gayle went through to another T20 century, he hammered Trinidad’s bowlers once more. His 105-run innings included nine sixes and six fours. Gayle’s dazzling performance helped the squad set a target of 181 runs. Looking at T and T’s second-inning batting, just managing 130 runs seems cruel. As a result, Jamaica won the game by 50 runs and established a strong position.

  1. Dwayne Smith (104*)

If an individual appears on this list more than once, it is safe to assume that he is a tournament legend. Who can deny that Dwayne Johnson is a CPL great who enjoys smashing bowlers? There are 104* runs on this list.

Smith’s blazing whack, on the other hand, came in a losing cause, making the cake taste bitter. In 2014, Amazon came up short against Tridents in a close battle. Warriors batted first and scored 173 runs with five wickets lost.

Barbados discovered Dwayne Smith as the basher when they came out to pursue the target. With the help of six sixes and eight fours, he scored 104* runs in 67 balls. Despite remaining in the game till the end, the right-hander was unable to lead his team to victory.

  1. Kieron Pollard (104)

Kieron Pollard is a T20 cricket legend who holds the record for most T20 games played. In the Caribbean Premier League, Trinbago won the title in 2020 under his captaincy. He currently holds the tenth greatest individual score in CPL history.

When the Tridents and Stars met in 2018, one man, Kieron Pollard, was in charge, and he simply destroyed bowlers for sport. St Lucia Stars, batting first, got off to a strong start thanks to Andre Fletcher. But it was Pollard who came in and stole the show. Pollard scored 104 runs on 54 balls. His innings comprised eight sixes and six fours, which proved to be the difference in the game.

The Stars went on to score 226 runs, winning the match by 38 runs.
