Rajasthan Royals held their nerve to register a 23-run win against Mumbai Indians in the 9th match of the season and climbed to the top of the IPL 2022 points table. 

Yuzvendra Chahal and Navdeep Saini picked two wickets each while Trent Boult, Prasidh Krishna, and Ravichandran Ashwin shared three wickets among each other to restrict the MI run chase. 

Even though Mumbai Indians lost their captain & opener, Rohit Sharma in the 2nd over, youngsters Ishan Kishan and Tilak Varma smacked 54 and 61 runs each to bring MI close, but RR’s late comeback didn’t allow MI to close the match. 

Rohit Sharma had earlier put RR to bat first. Jos Buttler smacked his second IPL century and got good support from Sanju Samson & Shimron Hetmyer to post a solid total of 193. 

Jasprit Bumrah and Tymal Mills picked up 3 wickets each for MI while Kieron Pollard also managed a scalp.
