Former Indian opening batter turned commentator Aakash Chopra tested positive for covid-19 and took to social media to announce the same. The veteran Indian batter is often seen talking about cricket and analyses the games that happen in the Indian Premier League and also India matches.

Former Indian cricketer turned commentator Aakash Chopra tested positive for coronavirus on Saturday. The veteran India batter took to social media to share the news. The 44-year-old former cricketer will not be seen on IPL’s host broadcaster channel Star Sports till he recovers from the disease. 

Aakash Chopra took to Twitter to share the news and said, “After dodging the bullet for nearly two years…I have also succumbed to the C Virus. Yups. Symptoms are mild thus far… should be back on the saddle soon”.

The former right-handed batter played 10 Test matches during his international career for India. He scored 437 runs with an average of 23 during his stint. He also played in the Indian Premier League for Kolkata Knight Riders. In the 7 games that he played in the cash-rich league, Chopra scored 53 runs.
