Aston Villa to make move for Luis Suarez

According to reliable journalist Gerrard Romero, Aston Villa are set to swoop in for Atletico Madrid striker Luis Suarez at the end of the season. The Uruguayan has turned down multiple offers from Brazil with clubs such asPalmeiras, Corinthians and Atletico Mineiro offering him the chance to leave the reigning Spanish champions.

Suarez is keen on making the move back to the Premier League where he could be reunited with former teammate and now Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard. The Uruguayan’s contract expires at the end of this year and he is not interested in continuing his tenure at Spain with Atletico.

Manchester United keeping tabs on Ousmane Dembele

Manchester United are monitoring the contractual situation of Ousmane Dembele and keeping tabs on the Frenchman as they ready a bid to lure the Frenchman to Old Trafford in the summer according to The Mirror. The 24-year-old is in the midst of extending his stay at the Camp Nou after impressing Barcelona boss Xavi Hernandez but talks between club and the player’s representatives are at a deadlock.

This has captured the attention of several clubs that will attempt to seal the Frenchman’s signature on a free transfer in the summer. Dembele is understood to be interested in a move to the Manchester club but will keep his options open as he considers every offer.


Spurs not interested in making Tariq Lamptey offer

Tottenham are not interested in joining the race for Brighton full-back Tariq Lamptey according to Sky Sports. Manchester United are the latest side to be linked with a move for the Seagulls defender as they aim to recruit the defender in January.

The London club are keen on signing the 21-year-old and were previously interested in signing the right-back in the summer but it is understood that they will not be competing with the Red Devils for his signature. Brighton are not keen on selling Lamptey this month as they aim to finish the season strongly but they are open to enter talks for the right price.


Newcastle set to sign Diego Carlos

According to reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano, Diego Carlos is set to complete a transfer to Newcastle United on a potential five year deal. The Brazilian defender was earmarked as the ideal candidate to bolster the Magpies’ defensive options and deal is likely to be completed soon.

It is understood that the Magpies had offered a sum of €35m for the defender although it was deemed too low by the Spanish side. Talks are ongoing and a deal is likely to be completed within the end of the month. Carlos is keen on a move to the Tyneside club and has outlined his intentions by agreeing to personal terms with Newcastle.


AC Milan looking to seal Eric Bailly deal

According to Fabrizio Romano, AC Milan have identified Manchester United defender Eric Bailly as the priority signing to boost their defensive issues. The Ivory Coast international is fourth in the pecking order at Old Trafford and is keen to make a move to the Serie A giants in search of regular first-team football.

Milan are also monitoring the situations of Abdou Diallo, Japhet Tanganga as they look to make a move this month. It is understood that Tottenham are not interested in selling Tangana on loan this month and Milan could move quickly for Bailly to bolster their defensive options.

Juventus to pursue transfer for Anthony Martial

According to GOAL, Juventus have made contact with Anthony Martial’s representatives over a possible loan move. Juventus winger Federico Chiesa has been ruled out for the rest of the season with knee ligament damage and the Italian side are keen on signing a replacement.

 Martial had made it clear that he wants to leave United in the winter transfer window in search of increased gametime after the arrivals of Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo has limited his chances of featuring.

Juventus have yet to make a formal approach over Martial to United although they are finalizing details on a loan move for the French attacker before the conclusion of the transfer window at the end of January.


PSG confident of keeping Kylian Mbappe

Paris Saint-Germain are growing confident that they can convince Kylian Mbappe to extend his contract at the club according to reports from ESPN. The Frenchman’s existing contract runs out in June but his representatives are in talks with the French giants over a short-term extension.

Mbappe ruled out the possibility of leaving PSG in January but Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is convinced he can secure a deal for the striker on a free transfer this summer.  It is understood that the latest meetings have been positive and PSG are now confident that the 23-year-old will sign an extension and reject Madrid’s advances.


Leeds to sign FC Salzburg forward Brenden Aaronson

Leeds are preparing a second bid for United States forward Brendan Aaronson according to reports from Mirror. Salzburg are keen to hold on to the forward who has scored three goals and added seven assists for the reigning Austrian champions. The Austrian club rebuffed their first offer of £15m although Leeds have refused to give up on the deal.

The 21-year-old is seen as a player with huge potential and Leeds boss Marcelop Bielsa is keen on linking up with the American. The American is understood to be keen on a move to the Premier League and would welcome the opportunity to move if a deal materializes.


Liverpool interested in Nico Gonzalez

Liverpool are prioritizing the signing of Nico Gonzalez from Barcelona at the end of the season according to El Nacional. The Premier League team are looking for a player to bring in next summer to help strengthen their midfield and manager Jurgen Klopp sees the 20-year-old as an ideal candidate.

Barcelona are not interested in selling their youth academy graduate despite their financial woes and will demand an outrageous fee to ward off interest. The Reds will make their interest official and will look to pursue the deal in the summer as they evaluate several options.


Manchester United interested in Calvin Ramsay

Manchester United are one of several Premier League clubs monitoring the progress of Aberdeen star Calvin Ramsay according to the Mirror. United have reportedly sent scouts to watch the young player feature against Rangers in Tuesday’s 1-1 draw.

The 18-year-old right back has been making headlines for his stellar displays for Aberdeen this season as he has provided four assists in 12 appearances. Clubs such as Tottenham, Leicester, Southampton and Leeds are interested in the teenager and United will have to move quickly if they wish to seal the deal.


Chelsea consider signing Layvin Kurzawa from PSG

According to Sky Sports, Chelsea have turned their attention to Layvin Kurzawa as they look to seal cover at left-back since the injury to Ben Chilwell.  The Blues tried to recall Emerson Palmieri from his loan spell but was unable to do so after not finding common ground with Lyon.

The Blues will make a move for the 29-year-old from Paris Saint-Germain this month and is hopeful of concluding a deal before the window shuts. The French club are happy to let Kurzawa depart as he has fallen out of favour with Mauricio Pochettino and look to move him on.


Bayern Munich to sell Robert Lewandowski if he rejects new contract

Bayern Munich are prepared to sell Robert Lewandowski in the summer if he rejects the new contract presented to him by the Bavarian giants according to Sport Bild. The 33-year-old has only 18 months remaining on his current deal and he has expressed his desire to play at the highest level for atleast another four years.

Lewandowski hasn’t shown an indication that he wants to commit his future to the German champions and may look to pursue a new challenge. Bayern will sell their star striker if he doesn’t agree to an extension between now and until the end of the season. 


Newcastle pursuing deal to bring Lingard on loan

Newcastle United are preparing an offer that will see Manchester United attacker Jesse Lingard arrive at the Tyneside club on loan for the rest of the season according to MEN. The Magpies are willing to cover the 29-year-old’s £100,000 per week wages until the end of the season, with no buy option included in any final agreement.

The Englishman’s current deal at Old Trafford expires at the end of the summer and it is likely that Lingard will move on to greener pastures in the summer. United will likely accept any incoming offer from Newcastle if they also receive a loan fee for the attacker.


Lille sign Hatem Ben Arfa on six-month contract

In a statement, Lille have announced that they have signed former PSG midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa on a six-month contract with the 34-year-old arriving just weeks into the new year. The midfielder hasn’t played football since he left Bordeaux when his contract expired in the summer of 2021 and has been looking for a club since.

“LOSC announces the arrival at the Club of Hatem Ben Arfa (34). The French international midfielder (15 caps, 2 goals) signed a 6-month contract today which binds him to the Lille club until the end of the 2021-2022 season,” reads the statement.

Barcelona in advanced talks with Andreas Christensen

According to SPORT, Barcelona and Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen are in advanced talks over a potential move on a free-transfer at the end of the season, once his current contract at Stamford Bridge expires.

The two parties have in talks and the 25-year-old is reportedly open to joining the Camp Nou side with the La Liga giants keen on signing him as well. However, reports have further indicated that Chelsea and Christensen are in talks as well over a new deal although so far they haven’t been able to reach an agreement.


Zenit St. Petersburg and  Borussia Monchengladbach in talks over a move for Alassane Plea

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has reported that Zenit St Petersburg have approached Borussia Monchengladbach over a potential move for striker Alassane Plea. The 28-year-old signed for the German side in the summer of 2018 and has since scored 40 goals for them, including three in the Bundesliga this season.

However, reports have indicated that the 28-year-old has had interest from Newcastle United as well although Romano has reported that talks are still ongoing between Glabach and Plea’s two suitors.

Saudi Arabia side Al-Nassr looking to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on loan

According to CBS Sports, Arsenal outcast Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has attracted attention from outside England as Al-Nassr are keen on signing the forward. The report has indicated that the club have offered Aubameyang a way out with them looking to sign the 32-year-old on loan this month.

The Saudi Arabia side are willing to offer Arsenal a six-month loan with an obligation to buy for €8 million at the end of the season although the Gunners are yet to respond to the club’s offer. However, reports have indicated that the Gunners are keen on letting Aubameyang leave after his disciplinary issues but are waiting for the right deal.


Ralf Rangnick reluctant to let Jesse Lingard leave this month

Despite serious interest from Newcastle United, ESPN has reported that Manchester United’s interim boss Ralf Rangnick is reluctant to let Jesse Lingard leave this month as the German believes that the 29-year-old could offer the club depth in case of a serious issue.

The Englishman has attracted attention from Tottenham, West Ham, Everton and now Newcastle with Barcelona and Milan also said to be amongst his suitors but so far, the Red Devils have rejected every move for Lingard. The attacker has less than six months left on his current contract and is looking to leave Old Trafford.


Valencia in talks with Barcelona over a loan move for Oscar Mingueza

According to Marca, Valencia are looking into a potential move for Oscar Mingueza with the club reportedly in talks with Barcelona over signing the defender this month. The Bats want the 22-year-old on loan for the rest of the season although without a purchase option, which is something that Barcelona are reportedly open to.

However, while Mingueza has fallen down the pecking order at the Camp Nou, he is still reportedly happy at staying with the La Liga giants although Marca have reported that the defender is open to signing for Jose Bordalas’ team as well.


Newcastle United and Bayer Leverkusen in discussions over a move for Mitchel Bakker

Despite only arriving in the summer of 2021 from Paris Saint-Germain, MailOnline has reported that Newcastle United and Bayer Leverkusen are in talks over a move for Mitchel Bakker with the German side open to letting him go.

The full-back arrived from PSG for a reported £8.5 million fee and has made 13 appearances this season but could leave this month because the Magpies are reportedly willing to spend in order to get their man.
