Reports | Dean Henderson Looking To Leave Old Trafford Over Lack Of Game-time

According to Sky Sports, Manchester United’s Dean Henderson is considering his future especially with him struggling to get game-time at Old Trafford this season. The 23-year-old is considered to be one of the best young keepers in the world but has failed to usurp David de Gea for the Red Devils.

After Dean Henderson’s superb performances for Sheffield United last season, many expected the Englishman to take over from David de Gea this season. However, that hasn’t been the case with Henderson getting minimal game-time under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and it has left the 23-year-old frustrated. Instead, Henderson has made only 12 appearances all season with three of those coming in the Premier League alongside seven in the FA Cup and EFL Cup.

But that hasn’t placated the former Sheffield United star and it has seen Henderson reportedly consider his options amidst interest from Tottenham and Borussia Dortmund. Sky Sports has reported that the 23-year-old wants to stay at Old Trafford but not if that would see him play second fiddle to De Gea. It does pave the way for other clubs to swoop in especially with Henderson more than open to playing aboard.

Furthermore, with the 23-year-old’s place in England’s Euro 2020 squad in doubt, reports have indicated that it hasn’t made Henderson any happier especially given De Gea’s recent struggles. However, with interest from Tottenham, the Englishman could stay in the Premier League as the North Londoners reportedly believe that Henderson could be the perfect man to replace the ageing Hugo Lloris.
