Mumbai Two Good For Odisha

Mumbai City bagged three points with a dominant performance against Odisha FC . Goals from Bartholomew Ogbeche and Rowllin Borges helped Mumbai City FC beat Odisha FC 2-0 to go top of the Indian Super League (ISL) 2020-21 table.

Mumbai established its domination after a quiet start in the opening half hour and never looked back. A handball from Shubham Sarangi in the 30th minute resulted in a penalty for Mumbai which was tucked away by Ogbeche, who got his first goal in the sky blue jersey. Mumbai upped the pressure and a brilliant cross from Bipin Singh was thumped into the net by Rowlin Borges in the 45th minute as it took a 2-0 lead at half-time.

Odisha brought on Marcelinho, Manuel Onwu and Laishram Singh in the second half but remained sluggish at the back. Substitute Marcelinho nearly grabbed a consolation goal in the 87th minute, but his effort from outside the box went just wide. Laishram Singh, another second-half substitute had an ever better chance moments later, but sent clean through on goal by George D’Souza, he blasted his effort wide.

A dominant performance from the Islanders get them their third straight win in the ISL 2020-21 campaign.
