Odisha FC will search for their first win in Indian Super League (ISL) season 7 when they play a high-flying Bengaluru Fc on Thursday at the GMC Stadium, Bambolim, Goa.

The numbers, for Odisha, don’t make for good reading. They have just one point from five matches and have scored the least number of goals in the league so far. “We certainly need to be better at attacking based on our possession. If we can gain momentum and take momentum away from the opponents, that will help us,” said Baxter.

Bengaluru have scored a good chunk of their goals from set-pieces so far, including three from throw-ins, and will look to exploit Odisha’s vulnerability in this regard. They are also high on confidence, coming off a huge win against Kerala Blasters, in which the likes of Cleiton Silva and Sunil Chhetri managed to find the net.

Bengaluru head coach Carles Cuadrat has more or less settled on his strongest XI in recent times after the return to fitness of central midfielder Dimas Delgado.

Odisha FC and Bengaluru FC have met twice in the past in their ISL history and the former champions lead the head to head records 0-2 having won both their clashes. Odisha FC, erstwhile Delhi Dynamos, made their ISL debut last season and are yet to make the playoffs once. Whereas Bengaluru FC will hope to assert their dominance once again.
